certificates
Well I received more Death Certificates and now have a Marriage Certificate on its way. This is getting really fun but it is also getting expensive. $16 bucks a pop. The next hurtle to cross is to get my hands on the adoption records for my mom. This will take a little more work with the British Officials ... I think Mom even has to meet with a Councilor to make sure she is of "sound mind and body"

I'm back
June is usually a busy month as we sell lots of goodies for Father's Day and there is always stuff to do in the garden. the ne Gedcom program is working well and I like visiting the Brummie webring. I have recently received a copy of my Grandfather's Death Certificate. It is weird and yet cool and interesting to actually have the document in me hand.

Victoria Day in Canada

we went to the Fanshawe Pioneer Village today as it is a holiday here. Victoria Day in honour of Queen Victoria. the Village is a cluster of about 20 buildings from the early 1800's some of which were still in use up to the 1930's. there was a brief meeting of town "period" characters in costume celebrating Queen Victoria's as they would have done in the 1850's. overall not too bad.

well here goes ... the first entry on my new blog. I'll mostly be using this to work on my geneology hobby. I'll try to get things hooked up with Ancestry.co.uk as that is where the bulk of my work already is.
